Does this replace my router?
No. RoseShield Network works with your existing router. For most setups, you simply update two DNS settings — it takes under 5 minutes.
Does it work on my ISP-provided router?
Yes. DNS configuration works on virtually any router including ISP-provided ones. If your router doesn't allow DNS changes, our browser extension provides similar protection.
Will it slow down my internet?
No. Because Edge AI processing happens locally within your network (not routed to a remote server for analysis), RoseShield Network typically reduces DNS latency compared to cloud-based alternatives.
Does it protect devices when they're not on home WiFi?
Home network protection only applies on your WiFi. For protection on the go (mobile data), use the RoseShield endpoint app on phones and tablets.
Can I see what websites my kids are visiting?
RoseShield shows categories of blocked content and total traffic per device — not individual URLs. This is intentional. We protect without surveillance.
How does it handle HTTPS encrypted traffic?
RoseShield filters at the DNS level (domain names), not the content of HTTPS traffic. This means we block access to harmful domains without decrypting or reading your data.
Does it work if the internet goes down?
Local network features (device blocking, scheduling) continue to work. Threat intelligence updates pause until connectivity is restored, but your last-known policies remain in effect.
Can I use it alongside my existing parental controls?
