Child-First Design
Every feature, algorithm, and policy decision begins with a single question: does this make children safer? Commercial considerations are always subordinate to child welfare. We follow the principle of 'safety by design' — protection is built in, not bolted on.
Minimal Data Collection
We collect the absolute minimum data necessary to provide safety services. All behavioral analysis happens on the child's device. No raw content — no messages, photos, browsing history, or keystrokes — ever leaves the device. Only anonymized safety signals are transmitted.
Privacy as a Right
Children have a fundamental right to privacy even within the context of safety monitoring. Our architecture ensures parents receive wellbeing insights without accessing the content of their child's private communications. Safety without surveillance.
Zero Tolerance for Exploitation
Any detection of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming behavior, or child exploitation is immediately reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, law enforcement, and relevant authorities, without exception and without delay.
Age-Appropriate Design
Protection thresholds, content filters, and monitoring intensity are calibrated by age group. A 7-year-old receives different protections than a 16-year-old. We follow the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and COPPA (US) as minimum standards, applying higher protections where warranted.
Global Standards Compliance
We comply with international child safety standards including UNCRC (UN Convention on the Rights of the Child), EU DSA child safety provisions, UK Online Safety Act, COPPA, and FERPA for educational contexts. We exceed these minimums wherever possible.
Timely & Transparent Alerts
Safety alerts are delivered to parents or guardians within minutes of detection. Alert categories are clearly explained — parents understand what was detected, why it matters, and what action is recommended. We never cry wolf: our alert precision rate exceeds 97%.
Accountability & Auditability
Our safety algorithms, detection models, and reporting processes are auditable by authorized third parties, regulatory bodies, and institutional clients. We maintain comprehensive audit logs and submit to annual independent safety audits.
Wellbeing Over Control
RoseShield is a wellbeing tool, not a surveillance or punishment system. We design monitoring features to facilitate healthy conversations between parents and children — not to enable covert tracking or control. Children's emotional and psychological wellbeing is central to our mission.
Mandatory Reporting Policy
Our legal and moral obligations when child exploitation is detected
ChildSafe.dev Inc. operates under a strict mandatory reporting policy. When our systems detect any of the following, we are legally required — and morally obligated — to report immediately:
We do not notify the perpetrator. We do not delay for legal review. We do not allow commercial considerations to interfere with this process.
