In a chat app with RoseShield built in, or a supported Android/Core content path, safety checks can identify concerning patterns in the content available to them.

Where the coverage ends

Router is being developed to apply website filtering and network rules to traffic routed through your school network. A connected device’s private messages need a separate RoseShield app or device layer for content checks.

Step off the network and the Router no longer sees it. A student on their own mobile data is outside its reach. Bulk licences of the Consumer App follow them home — on the family’s phone, under the parent’s control, from launch.

Three tiers, so your team can tell events apart

Set responses that fit the concern. With RoseShield app or device protection, your team can use safety flags and available Android/Core events to guide follow-up. Your settings choose what is shared for review.

A chance to reconsiderResponse set by your policy

In an app with RoseShield built in, or while the RoseShield keyboard is active, an unsafe outgoing message can be paused with an explanation. Your policy sets whether that safety event is shared with your team.

RoseShield Signals brings available Android and Core safety events into view, helping your team spot changes and recurring concerns.

A serious flag can alert your designated safeguarding lead, with content and context shared under your policy. Your team decides how to respond and what records to keep.

All three thresholds are yours to set, including what escalates, what stays in the queue, what is recorded and what is retained. RoseShield does not decide what belongs on a child’s file.
